Find Balance. ReConnect. Heal.
Holistic compassionate counseling and psychotherapy for individuals
Holistic compassionate counseling and psychotherapy for individuals
I believe we all have inner strengths, innate self-worth, and intuition that guides us. Life's many ebbs and flows- whether the mundane or the life-altering, the anticipated or unforeseen- can sometimes cause us to feel disconnected from our true selves. This disconnect can manifest as feelings of being stuck, overwhelmed, emotionally shutdown, or running on autopilot. We may experience burnout, self-doubt, and a sense of dissatisfaction with life. I view the journey of healing and growth as a process of reconnecting with our authentic selves by honoring our personal stories, both the light and the shadows. My approach to therapy is holistic, emphasizing the mind-body-spirit connection to help restore balance, regulation, and a deeper sense of harmony and safety with ourselves and others. Through this process, we can cultivate a fuller, more meaningful life.
I'm honored you found my website and invite you to explore more if you're interested in my approach to therapy.

Hi, I'm Molly.
I am an almost lifelong resident of Rockbridge County and Lexington Virginia. I left this serene small town to attend Virginia Tech where I earned my degree in Human Development. Following my undergraduate studies, I remained at Virginia Tech where I completed my Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2019.
I then returned to Lexington where I completed a 3-year residency, both in community mental health and in a private practice setting, before becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia. In 2022 I opened my own private practice where I have enjoyed walking beside people on their healing journey and helping them lead more intentional and fulfilling lives through the therapy I provide.
Outside of being a therapist, I enjoy spending time with my friends, family, and partner, hiking and kayaking, dancing, enjoying my morning tea with a good book, and of course adventuring with my trusty canine companion, Wesley.
I provide therapy for adults (ages 18 and up) who are curious and open to learning more about themselves and wanting to embark on their healing journey. I'm fond of working with professionals, academics, and creatives. My clients commonly experience anxiety, overthinking, shame, self-doubt, and self-worth questions. I work with clients on issues related to anxiety and stress, complex or developmental trauma, single-event trauma, relationship wounds, and life transitions.
I combine both counseling and psychotherapy to help meet your therapeutic goals and get back in tune with your mind and body. My therapeutic approach is based in Attachment Theory and utilizes Humanistic and Psychodynamic Therapies while borrowing from Internal Family Systems. I also incorporate embodied healing through Somatic Experiencing *.
I too am human and have experienced raw spots in life, so I understand how challenging it can be to find the courage to grow. My role as a therapist is not to "fix" you but to empower you to relate to yourself in a new way in order to live the life you want.
*I am currently in the Somatic Experiencing® training program through SEI. SE aims to help heal trauma and stress responses at the nervous system level through the body. For more information on the SE™ approach to healing please visit: https://traumahealing.org/se-101/
A meaningful authentic connection between therapist and client is the foundation for growth and healing. My intention for building this therapeutic alliance is to provide a nurturing, calm, compassionate, nonjudgemental space where you feel safe and open to exploring painful experiences or emotions, hard questions, and deeper parts of yourself. Our first session will serve as an opportunity for us to get to know each other and determine whether we are a good fit. We will review my practice policies, address any questions or concerns you may have, and begin to delve into the reasons that brought you to therapy and your intentions for the process. In our second session, we will complete an Initial Intake Assessment, where I will learn more about different areas of your life and help you set personal goals for the therapy sessions. From there, we collaboratively and intentionally explore what feels authentic moving forward. Therapy will focus on both mind and body aspects to create the healing you desire. During this therapeutic process, sometimes there will be moments of clarity and breakthroughs, other times we will sit together in difficult memories or emotions in order to move through them.
Individual Psychotherapy session: $135
Initial Intake Assessment: $135
I provide both in-person and virtual sessions to those residing in the state of Virginia.
